Brian Neil Epstein is an investigative documentary filmmaker whose work spans two decades of reporting on military and government accountability, the drug war, the U.S. and Mexico border, environmental crime, terrorism, human rights, civic life, and criminal justice.
He reports, produces, and directs his stories from first pitch through final edit. His reporting has taken him into a Brazilian rainforest with the indigenous patrols defending it, alongside mothers searching for the disappeared amid cartel violence in Mexico, across New Mexico with a presidential campaign, inside the prisons where America holds its convicted killers, and into the Pentagon’s account of an ambush it tried to bury.
His work has appeared on ABC News, PBS, Hulu, and Court TV, and has been recognized with Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, Scripps Howard, Walter Cronkite, Hillman, and Sigma Delta Chi Awards.
